offers excellent fishing, shrimping and clamming. At Sebastian
Inlet State Park there is a catwalk under the A1A bridge
that passes over the inlet as well as two jetties that offers
anglers a choice of convenient locations for accesses to
the Atlantic Ocean or the inlet. In these waters, fish such
as Red Fish, Snook, Grouper, Snapper, Pompano, Blue Fish,
Amber Jack, Sea Bass and many more varieties of fish can
be caught. Be aware that a saltwater fishing license may
be required and that there are limits on certain types of
fish caught, as well as special seasons on certain species.

With Sebastian Inlet located only 6 miles
south of Surfcaster motel, fishing charters are a popular
request. One popular charter in the area is offered by Captain
Dick Catri offering two different charter boats to choose
from with ½ day, ¾ day and full day packages.
The first boat that Captain Dick Catri
offers for charter is a 25' center console for fishing the
Indian River and the Sebastian Inlet water way for fish
such as Trout, Snapper, Snook and Red Fish just to name
a few . This trip is only offered for full and ½
day trips with a maximum of four people allowed.
The next charter offered by Captain Dick
Catri is an offshore charter on a 32' twin diesel flying
bridge model boat that has a cabin and head located onboard.
This charter offers a chance at some of Florida's larger
offshore fish such as Wahoo, Kingfish, Tuna, Tarpon, Cobia,
Amberjack, Grouper, and Dolphin just to mention a few of
the many types of offshore fish out there for you to catch.
The charter includes tips, tackle and bait with a maximum

You can also enjoy great beach fishing
behind the Surfcaster Motel, as well as Sebastian Inlet
State Park piers or Honest John's Fish Camp and Marina.
Sebastian
Inlet concessions offer a a bait and tackle shop at the
Inlet next to the north jetties or at the Inlet Marina located
in an unspoiled cove on the Indian River Lagoon where dolphins,
manatees, and river otters come and go. The Inlet Marina
offers canoe, single and double kayak rentals for two hours,
½ day and full day rentals. If you are looking for
something a little more, the Marina offers small fishing
skiffs, 16.5' center console boats, 20.5 (10 passenger)
boats and Pontoon boats for ½ day and full day rentals.
Honest John's Fish Camp offers boat rentals
for ½ day and full day rentals, canoes/gheenoes by
the hour or day. Also offered are Indian River Lagoon Wildlife
tours, that provide a chance to see the local natural beauty
of the Indian River Lagoon and it's wildlife in their natural
habitat. Take a two hour tour that will encounter manatee,
dolphin and a variety of birds and other Florida wildlife.
