Sebastian Inlet State Park
is part of a complex barrier island divided by a manmade
inlet. It reaches from the Atlantic Ocean to the Indian
River. The park's 800 acres were acquired by a combination
of purchases and donations. The initial facilities were
opened to the public in 1971.
Sebastian Inlet State park offers 51 campsites
with electricity and water, short and long-term boat dockage,
canoes, kayaks and power boat rentals. Ecotours of the Indian
River, aboard a 49-passenger boat, are offered daily for
a fee.
The park offers picnic areas, a beach concession
stand that serves breakfast, and lunch daily, a variety
of camping and fishing supplies. Beach and fishing rental
equipment are also available.
